Naam Jaap App

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Naam Jaap mantra and naam jap counter app for Android (package name com.life.naamjaap, "the App", "we", "our", or "us") handles your information. In short: your chants stay on your phone, signing in with Google is optional, the App shows no advertisements, and you can delete your account at any time.

1. Data Stored on Your Phone

Your chants, malas, streaks, daily goal, chosen deities, reminder time and other settings are stored only on your device. We do not upload them to our servers, and they are removed if you uninstall the App.

2. Optional Google Sign-In

You can use the App fully without an account. If you choose "Sign in with Google", Google Firebase Authentication gives us:

We use these only to identify your account in the App. We do not use them for marketing, and we never sell or share them. Google Firebase stores them for us until you delete your account.

3. Daily Reminder

If you turn on the daily reminder, the App schedules a notification on your phone and asks for permission to show notifications. No information leaves your phone for this.

4. Fonts

The first time the App runs with an internet connection, it downloads its typeface from Google Fonts. Like any web request, this shares your device's IP address with Google. No personal information is included.

5. Usage Statistics

Version 3.0.1 and earlier of the App used Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics, such as screens viewed, device model and an app instance ID. Version 3.1.0 and later do not collect usage statistics.

6. Advertising

The App does not show advertisements and does not use advertising identifiers.

7. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following Google services, which process data as our service providers:

Google's handling of this information is described in Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase Privacy and Security.

8. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information. We disclose it only if required by law or an enforceable government request.

9. Data Security

All data the App sends over the internet is encrypted in transit. Sign-in information is stored by Google Firebase, which maintains its own security practices. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Deleting Your Naam Jaap Account

Nothing is kept after deletion. Chant data that exists only on your phone is also removed when you uninstall the App.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can delete it.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
